雑誌コヨーテが休刊となってしまいました。
敬愛するロバートフランク特集でのリサーチバイトから始まり、
vol.38からは毎号ブロードウェイの写真を撮らせてもらい、最終号は、写真特集。
仕事とはいえど毎回編集者の方とのワークショップ感覚で、
カメラマンとして本当に成長させて頂きました。
どの学校に行くよりも学ばせてもらいました。
そういう雑誌ってあとどのくらいあるのでしょうか。
コヨーテの新たな門出と、復刊を願うばかりです。
Japanese culture/travel magazine Coyote has been discontinued.
I started to work for them from Robert Frank issue vol.35 (as a researcher then)
and have been photographing Broadway every issue until vol.46.
Oddly the last issue was about Photography.
Working for them was as if I was having a workshop with the editor.
It was nothing but a learning process for me as a photographer and
only few institutions can provide such experience.
And after all it makes me wonder, how many more magazines like that are left?
I wish them the best and hopefully we can read Coyote again in near future.
